Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on March 15, 2022
One new local COVID-19 case from another province was reported in Shiyan on March 15. No local asymptomatic carrier or inbound confirmed case was identified. One inbound asymptomatic carrier from Indonesia was found. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. Three patients were discharged from hospital (all were confirmed patients in Wuhan). Four asymptomatic patients were discharged from medical observation (one was asymptomatic carrier in Wuhan and three inbound carriers).
As of 24:00, March 15, twenty-four local cases were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (twenty-three cases were in Wuhan, and one in Shiyan), six with moderate symptoms and eighteen with mild symptoms. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. Four local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation, with three in Wuhan, and one in Xianning.
Twelve inbound cases were receiving treatment in the designated medical institution, two with moderate symptoms and ten with mild symptoms. Twelve inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.
A total of 63,840 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,388 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 1,287 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
