Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on March 31, 2022
No new local COVID-19 case was reported in Hubei on March 31. Five local asymptomatic carriers were identified (three were travelers from other provinces detected in Huangshi; one was a traveler from another province reported in Ezhou; the other one was local asymptomatic patient found in Suizhou.) There was no inbound case or inbound asymptomatic carrier. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. Nopatient was discharged from hospital. One asymptomatic patient in Xianning was discharged from medical observation.
As of 24:00, March 31, two local cases were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (one case was in Wuhan, and the other in Shiyan), both with moderate symptoms. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. Fourteen local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (three cases in Xiaogan, three in Huanggang, three in Huangshi, two in Ezhou, one in Xiangyang, one in Suizhou and one in Xianning).
Four inbound cases were receiving treatment in the designated medical institution, all with mild symptoms. Ten inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.
A total of 63,873 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,391 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 615 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
