Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on April 4, 2022
No new local COVID-19 case was reported in Hubei on April 4. A total of 16 local asymptomatic carriers were identified (one, detected in Dongxihu District of Wuhan, was traveler from another province; two, detected in Wuchang District of Wuhan, was contact of asymptomatic carriers; one in Ezhou was traveler from another province; one in Suizhou was traveler from another province; 11 were local asymptomatic carriers in Suizhou.) There was no inbound case or inbound asymptomatic carrier. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. No patient was discharged from hospital, nor any inbound asymptomatic patients discharged from medical observation.
As of 24:00, April 4, no local case was hospitalized at the designated medical institution. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. 68 local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (seven cases in Wuhan, five in Xiaogan, three in Huanggang, ten in Huangshi, three in Ezhou, one in Xiangyang, 36 in Suizhou, one in Xianning and two in Jingzhou).
Four inbound cases were receiving treatment in the designated medical institution, all with mild symptoms. Seven inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.
A total of 63,875 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,391 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 2,645 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
