Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on April 8, 2022
No new local COVID-19 case was reported in Hubei on April 8. Two local asymptomatic carriers in Wuhan were identified (one in Xinzhou district was close contact under medical quarantine; the other in Jianghan district was tested positive in mass nucleic acid testing). There was neitherinbound case nor inbound asymptomatic carrier. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death, nor was any patient discharged from hospital. No asymptomatic carrierwas discharged from medical observation.
As of 24:00, April 8, no local case was hospitalized in the designated medical institution. There was no suspected case in the medical institution. 83 local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (14 cases in Wuhan, five in Xiaogan, three in Huanggang, 12 in Huangshi, four in Ezhou, one in Xiangyang, 41 in Suizhou, one in Xianning and two in Jingzhou).
Three inbound cases were receiving treatment in the designated medical institution, all with mild symptoms. Six inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.
A total of 63,876 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,391 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 4,168 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
