Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on April 22, 2022
One local COVID-19 case was reported in Wuhan on April 22. Two local asymptomatic carriers were identified. (One was in Wuhan and the other was a traveler from another province in Yichang.) There was no inbound case. One inbound asymptomatic carrier from the Republic of Korea was detected. Yesterday saw no suspected case or death. No patient was discharged from hospital. 28 asymptomatic carriers were discharged from medical observation. (27 were local carriers, 6 in Wuhan, 1 in Suizhou, 8 in Huanggang, 2 in Huangshi, 9 in Ezhou and 1 in Enshi. The other was an inbound carrier.)
As of 24:00, April 22, five local cases were hospitalized in the designated medical institution (3 in Wuhan with mild symptoms, 1 in Yichang with common symptoms, and 1 in Huanggang with mild symptoms). There was no suspected case in the medical institution. 259 local asymptomatic patients were under medical observation (109 casesin Wuhan, 41 in Huanggang, 2 in Huangshi, 78 in Ezhou, 1 in Xiaogan, 15 in Suizhou, 2 in Shiyan, 4 in Enshi, 2 in Jingmen, and 5 in Yichang).
No inbound case was receiving treatment in the designated medical institution. Ten inbound asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine.
A total of 63,880 patients were cured and discharged from hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,397 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hubei. 6,003 close contacts were still under medical quarantine.
